Khayre (The shooter) was jailed in 2012 for a home invasion, and accused of involvement in a terror plot on Holsworthy Army Barracks in Sydney.

It’s reported that he cut off a tracking bracelet affixed to his ankle before launching yesterday’s attack, during which he killed a man in the lobby of a serviced apartment complex in the affluent Melbourne suburb of Brighton, and took a woman hostage.

According to Melbourne-based media, an alarm was triggered at Corrections Victoria when the anklet was tampered with shortly after 4pm.

During the attack Khayre called Channel 7’s newsroom and declared “This is for IS, and this is for Al-Qaeda”.

….This man was actually a known isis – sympathiser and terror subject AND WE LET HIM LOOSE ! This is absolutely disgusting, and the blood of those who died in Melbourne is ON THE HANDS OF THE GOVERNMENT THAT LET HIM FREE.
