Sadiq Khan, mayor of London has suggested the cancellation of a state visit by Donald Trump, after President Trump slammed him for saying there is “no reason to be alarmed” following the London terror attacks. Sadiq who has made stranger comments before which include statements like terrorist attacks are “part and parcel of living in a big city.”
The renowned left – wing politician is no stranger to accusations of purposely playing down any attacks on home soil, constantly preaching inclusion and dismissing any movements towards more extreme vetting. Khan was reported saying;
“I don’t think we should roll out the red carpet to the president of the USA in the circumstances where his policies go against everything we stand for,”
“There are many things about which Donald Trump is wrong.”
This is not the first time the London mayor has called for the offer of a state visit to be rescinded. In January, Mayor Khan called on the Government to rescind its offer of a full state visit to President Trump whilst the president stands by his travel ban policy. This is however despite the fact that Khan hosted a party with dignitaries from 11 nations that ban entry of Israeli passport holders to their countries.
It is all good and well to try and stop the panic surrounding these attacks, but the truth is we as humans panic for a reason. We panic because stress causes us to amend what is wrong, and allows for motivation to rectify any problems facing society. Unfortunately, the solution the mayor wants stops at a candle – lit vigil and a filter over our Facebook display pictures.
It was revealed today via daily mail that Sadiq Khan attended a conference with one of the London Bridge murderers’ close friends who is accused of training one of the 7/7 bombers. The London Mayor spoke on the same platform as Sajeel Shahid, a militant who is said to have helped to train the ringleader of the July 7 London bomb attacks. It emerged today Shahid was gym buddies with killer Khuram Butt, who butchered seven people in the deadly rampage on the capital’s streets on Saturday night. The pair once ran martial arts classes together at the all-Muslim Ummah Fitness gym in east London.
At the same conference Kahn gave a speech about representing a 9/11 conspirator and criticised two anti-terrorism bills for targeting Muslim groups. The ‘First Captives Conference’ was set up to support terror suspects in the Guantanamo Bay detention camp.It was organised by the Islamic Observation Centre, which was run by al-Sirri.
Donald Trump did not hold back, when rebutting Mr. Kahn’s statements, tweeting the following ;
Lets just hope that this sort of dismissal of terrorism and absolute ignorance in the face of imminent danger doesn’t spill into our politics here at home…who would’ve guessed Sam Dastyari is a massive fan !
It doesn’t even upset me that this Mayor is sticking up for Muslims, and calming the Londoners down…what does upset me is that instead of accepting the problem is an external factor and therefore should be solved through increased security measures of those coming in, Kahn is more than happy to let even more refugees in with out any changes. All the while the English live in fear as heavily armed police officers stand at every corner turning the city into a complete nanny state.
